The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Fighters Group

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a diverse cast of personalities, and a exciting storyline featuring celestial beings, fiends, and malevolent powers growing in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the third episode of this adventure lie ahead.

The Warrior Group Introduced

Episode 3 finished on a major cliffhanger and presented the initial group of characters who will branch out from the main group to begin their separate journey, apart from the other two tables.

The combat-focused team includes Teor (brought to life by Travis), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

Given 13 cast members, it was evident from the outset that keeping everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Introduction, intertwining the personal journeys before splitting into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Strategists, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a typically action-packed battle-oriented gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the events of the third episode demonstrate why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the team understands precisely where to proceed after a intense initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death initiated the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the rogue, and taking all the magical artifacts to sell off.

The traitor then settled his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each character has a specific drive to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as the companion and trusted friend, desires retribution.
  • The adventurer is familiar with Timmony and warns that it is a dangerous place.
  • The warrior and The healer, having defied his family’s wishes to eliminate the fighter and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their reputation as important members in the influential clan could assist the party enter areas they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, The fighter swore a life debt to The savior for his salvation and will now accompany him everywhere.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are wanted by the rulers that govern the setting for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and The healer defied the influential house and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the clan.

This leaves them little choice but to travel to the northern region in search of the antagonist.

Future Episodes

Based on episode three’s follow-up content, we learn that the Soldiers table will not appear next week, leaving the remaining eight cast members to round up the Questers and Strategists parties.

Audiences can look forward to learning which characters will be where in the story’s final introductory chapter, released on next week.
